Role Summary

The Senior Digital Marketing Officer will enhance Medair’s digital presence across all online channels, ensuring consistent messaging and branding with the aim to convert visitors into Medair supporters. They will develop and drive a digital strategy to grow brand awareness and build an online community. The role focuses on promoting and enhancing online donations, managing the website, and implementing email campaigns in coordination with key stakeholders the mass and middle relationship advisor.                                                                                                                                                                

Project Overview

The Communication and Marketing team focuses on raising awareness of Medair’s work and the humanitarian needs of the people we serve through digital platforms, media, advertisement and events. It supports the Engagement department at the Global Support Office (GSO) by increasing the levels of awareness and engagement of people who hear about Medair, providing dynamic and accessible platforms for them to show their interest and to develop their connection with us.

Global Support Office (GSO) position based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Swiss or eligible EU citizens, or those with a valid work permit for Switzerland, can apply.                                                                              

Responsibilities

• Website & Digital Marketing: Develop, manage, and upgrade the website to ensure holistic messaging and branding across all online touchpoints. Implement SEO strategies and enhance user experience (UX) assets.

• Collaboration & Compliance: Work with external suppliers, internal stakeholders, and affiliate offices to align the global website with brand strategy. Ensure website compliance with laws and regulations.

• Traffic & Engagement: Drive traffic to Medair pages, generate interest in Medair’s mission, and troubleshoot website issues. Report on online fundraising targets, conversion rates, and ROI.

• Digital Campaigns: Develop and manage international digital marketing and fundraising strategies. Optimize digital advertising campaigns and support offline fundraising with an online presence. Includes direct supervision of 1 Community Engagement Specialist.

• Innovation & Trends: Innovate new online marketing approaches, stay updated with digital marketing trends, and implement new technologies in campaigns. Guide affiliate offices to maintain brand consistency globally.

Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies

• University degree in Communication, Fundraising, Marketing or equivalent job experience.

• Language skills: Strong working knowledge of English and French, German or Dutch an asset  

• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant role, with at least 1 year of people management experience

• Proven proficiency in Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign), Webflow, Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics, HTML, content management systems and SEO techniques

• Strong project management skills
