Job DescriptionThe Senior Director, GCTO Project Management Office will report to the Executive Director, Head of the GCTO Project Management Office (PMO). You will be responsible for overseeing and managing aspects of our project portfolio, ensuring successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. You will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction of our projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with strategic operational objectives.Project Management Oversight: Support strategic direction of the project management team, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery of projects across the portfolio.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, business area contacts, and project teams. Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and drive standardization across projects.Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control. Monitor project financials and provide regular reports to senior leadership.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues that may impact project timelines, scope, or quality. Develop contingency plans and ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place.Team Development: Foster a high-performing project management team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.Education:Bachelor’s Degree with at least fifteen (15) years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, project management and/or medical field experience.OrMaster’s degree with at least twelve (12) years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, project management and/or medical field experience.OrPhD/PharmD Degree with at least eight (8) years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, project management and/or medical field experience.Project Management certification (PMP, CPM) and / or coursework and training in project management required.Change management and/or Sigma experience preferred (e.g., change management, green belt, yellow belt certification).Degree in life sciences, preferred.People leadership experience, preferred.Experience and Skills:Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects and portfolios.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Expert knowledge and understanding of clinical development processes and procedures.Master project management and business process improvement experience, with demonstrated record of accomplishments.Strong understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and resource management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and implement change initiatives.#EligibleforERPMRLGCTONOTICE FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTSIn accordance with all employees subject to this policy are required to have a minimum of twelve (12) months of service in current position prior to applying for open positions.If you have been offered a separation benefits package but have not yet reached your separation date and are offered a position within the salary and geographical parameters as set forth in the Summary Plan Description (SPD) of your separation package, then you are no longer eligible for your separation benefits package.
