JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Director, HIV serves as a strategic thought leader within FHI 360’s Global Programs portfolio, responsible for overseeing the implementation and growth of FHI 360’s portfolio of HIV programs in more than 35 countries. In addition to ensuring industry leading technical assistance and direct service delivery to support countries’ achievement of epidemic control; the portfolio includes work in the adjacent areas of mental health, LGBTQ+ inclusion and rights,capacity strengthening of local partners, and telehealth; as well as a robust portfolio of and primary health care integration.This role will serve as the Project Director for large global awards that focus primarily on HIV but may include other technical areas such as global health security, requiring leveraging technical resources from other FHI 360 technical teams. The Sr Director must have deep experience managing USAID and/or CDC projects from the implementing partner or donor perspective.The Sr Director collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to gather and share evidence, lessons learned, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.The Sr. Director provides leadership, guidance, and direction to multiple departments that span award implementation, technical quality, innovation, and knowledge management. They also lead business development for the HIV portfolio; participating in business intelligence and analytics to maintain and expand market share in HIV, HIV-adjacent, and HIV integration domains. They represent FHI 360 as a thought leader.Their decisions are guided by organizational strategy and have significant short- and long-term impacts on public health and development outcomes.

The Sr. Director must possess comprehensive knowledge of project management principles, program implementation methodologies, and organizational leadership practices. They demonstrateexpertise in strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, with a track record of driving innovation and achieving impactful outcomes.They also aim to meet/exceed revenue targets across all segments (USG, foundations/corporations, and other donors).

Approximately 25% travel may be required for this role, primarily to engage with stakeholders, oversee project implementation, and attend meetings and events related to portfolio activities.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Typical office environment. Constantly uses a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
TECHNOLOGY

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. Candidate FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.
Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
US Based Hiring Salary Range: $170,000 – $215,000
International hiring ranges will differ based on location.
