The division leverages stakeholder intelligence, robust economic principles and advanced data analytics to formulate effective strategies that support job creating investments in Alberta.The Data and Analytics Unit develops and maintains internal and external websites, information products, tools, and models to inform policy development and program delivery, identify opportunities in Alberta, and inform investment decision-making across the province.To learn more about the ministry please visit:Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Director, Data and Analytics, the Senior Economic Analyst is responsible for leading the development of new and existing internal information products the unit produces and supports the development and operations of the unit’s external information products. The position also analyzes and communicates economic data and information more generally, to both internal and external stakeholders. These activities support economic development work across the Government of Alberta (GoA) as well as help industry stakeholders and businesses to understand and respond to changing market factors. QualificationsUniversity graduation in Economics and Business or in a related field plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
