We build solid relationships with research communities to ensure we offer exciting, interesting, and thought-provoking contentAbout the RoleAs an In-House Senior Editor, you will oversee the creation and publication of original content. You will take ownership for overseeing submissions and quality peer reviews to ensure we publish high-quality content. You will build global relationships with people and institutes in the medical and research.ResponsibilitiesArranging peer review and commissioning content;Scanning medical literature and news to keep up-to-date with developments;Attending conferences and academic meetings, along with laboratory and institutional visits;Writing editorials, commissioning reviews and commentaries and publishing correspondence to build the journal’s profile among the communities we serve;Subediting material from all sections of our journal to improve clarity of expression and to conform to journal style;Suggesting and helping to develop new initiatives for future developments and enhancements to our journal.RequirementsHave a Medical degree with clinical experience or PhD in related field with postdoctoral experience;Demonstrate great knowledge of biological and medical sciences;Have an exceptional command of the English language and the ability to write in an engaging and interesting manner;Be able to communicate and negotiate constructively with members of the medical profession, the media and colleagues;Have proficiency with IT systems including MS Office;Enjoy collaborating with teams to deliver successful projects and initiatives on-time;Have a natural ability to engage, influence and build relationships with stakeholders, teams and our community;Be able to travel to internationally for meetings and conferences.Work in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
