Together, we are EXP.Are you ready to design your future?Be our next Senior Electrical Traffic/Illumination Designer!Your work environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the Transportation electrical team based in Markham office.What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Lead project designers and coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor.
  • Prepare detailed designs for transportation electrical systems using AutoCAD and or Microstation.
  • Conduct detailed calculations such as voltage drop, illumination, conductor and conduit sizing, and grounding to ensure that designs meet relevant engineering standards and applicable codes.
  • Perform complete lighting analysis using AGi32.
  • Design of electrical layouts for cable raceways/underground conduits, lighting, panel schedules design, lighting poles and base details, luminaire schedule, electrical grounding.
  • Preparing Contract documents, including specifications and cost estimates.

What your experience looks like

  • Minimum of (5) years continuous experience in detailed design and design consultancy.
  • Experience in Roadway lighting, Traffic signal design and PHM-125.
  • Previous experience in Transportation and Transit projects is a must.
  • Experience with advanced lighting design tools (AGi32 and Autolux).
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation and SPIDACalc.
  • Knowledge of standards IES-RP-21, OESC, IEEE, OTM, OPDS, OPSS, Book 12 and Book 7.
  • Ministry of Transportation, Ontario’s work experience is desired
