About Us:
Being a Senior Enforcement Officer, you’ll
be part of one of our new water industry enforcement teams providing oversight of water
industry compliance and enforcement cases across your team. You will ensure managers have a
comprehensive picture of enforcement activity, so that resources are used effectively, embed
new practices and set strategic direction relating to environmental offences as we
tackle serious/complex performance issues in the water industry.

performance issues in the water industry to ensure compliance improves. As a Senior
Enforcement Officer, you’ll be based at one of our four enforcement hubs facing the
water companies operating across England. Our water industry enforcement teams provide

You will work closely with and support Team Leaders and managers, helping to inform, inspire
and motivate to deliver successful outcome focussed enforcement and regulation. Relationship
building and providing a first-class customer service will be essential to establish the new
team and ensure new ways of working are embedded across the new team. You’ll also:

Essential
The role will require travel from time to time and so a UK Manual Driving Licence is required.
You’ll be experienced in data analysis, able to identify trends and identifying and tackling
root cause. You’ll have experience of intelligence led enforcement with an understanding of
serious/complex investigations.
Working experience of relevant legislation, for example the Environmental Permitting
Regulations, the Environment Act, the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, the Criminal Procedures
and Investigations Act and the Regulatory of Investigatory Powers Act are also essential to you
being able to carry out this role.
We would also like you to have contributed to strategies on detection/prevention of offending
and able to demonstrate an understanding of Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act and the
Proceeds of Crime Act. Experience of regulating the water industry is also desirable.
As well as training, you will also be supported with appropriate equipment and clothing to
ensure you will remain safe.

incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business
