The Role:

 

Oxfam is looking for; To ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial information is provided to the Ethiopia Country program, through efficient management of the financial information; and undertaking specific tasks in support of the the finance function of the program. Work closely with the Program finance coordinator in reviewing partners’ financial report monitoring processes, ensuring adequate supporting documents are available before uploading to the system, identifying potential ineligible costs and aware of the partners, make sure that partners are governed by their policies and procedures accordingly and flag any variances.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be/have:

 

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance that can bring added value to the post from a recognized university/college.
  • Relevant experience of 4-5 years in a finance role, preferably in an international NGO.
  • Experience in project financial management and partner management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity to cultural differences, and ability to work in a wide variety of cultural contexts
  • Good command of computing skills (MS Word, MS Excel) and other Internal software system.
  • Knowledge of and Eager to learn various accounting software with special emphasis on the Oxfam financial management system
  • Good spoken and written English and Amharic.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptive to changing working requirements
