We are working with our client in York region to help them find a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. Work from office opportunity.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly and quarterly closing activities, including variance analysis and reconciliation of financials.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze journal entries, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and manage audit schedules.
• Collaborate with teams to develop forecasts and business plans that align with the company’s financial goals.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of company spending, including fixed assets, inventory, direct costs, and overhead.
• Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) documentation and procedures.
• Work cross-functionally to align financial outcomes with overall business objectives.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

• CPA is required or actively working towards.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in using ERP systems (JDE, Hyperion, or similar).
• Knowledge of US GAAP is required.
• Proven experience working with complex financial models.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerBI.
• Experience with SOX compliance and managing external audits is an asset.
