Job Description:We are currently seeking a Senior HCM Application Specialist to join our team.The Senior HCM Application Specialist in an integral member of an Agile team leading the full lifecycle of HCM (Oracle) applications and practices from discovery and refinement, configuration, testing, go-live, to support and sustainment. This role engages closely with end users and stakeholders to identify and document problems, and design solutions that deliver value, realize business outcomes aligned to organizational goals, as well as identify and manage risk. The Senior HCM Application Specialist participates as a member of an Agile team, leading change and transformation through agile principles and practices.Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day * Business Systems Analysis: Provides end-to-end business systems analysis. Collaborates closely with stakeholders to conduct assessment of their business requirements and objectives. Analyzes complex business processes, assists in evaluating alternatives and determines effective solutions. Translates complex business problems and user requirements into functional requirements by creating appropriate documentation (such as models, specifications, workflows, diagrams and charts) that provide direction to project and support teams.

  • Configuration: Configures and builds Oracle modules and applications and validates the solutions with business leads. Solutions are aligned to technology and business strategies, with an end user focus.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serves as the primary point of contact for business, fostering strong relationships and understanding their evolving needs and challenges. Oversees technical solutions throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring deliverables meet stakeholder’s technology requirements. Provides ongoing support, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities for system optimization and improvement. Conducts training sessions for stakeholders to facilitate smooth adoption and utilization of new Oracle applications or changes, emphasizing usage techniques and best practices.
  • Best Practices & Optimization: Identifies and keeps current with Oracle/HCM best practices and emerging trends, documents and make recommendations to adopt emerging HCM functionality. Continually seeks opportunities to increase efficiencies and customer satisfaction, deepen client relationships and consistently deliver high-quality services. Liaises with various business groups within the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved HCM tools and processes and collaborates in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new HCM functionality, and enhancements to existing capabilities.
  • Leadership: Brings teams together to ensure alignment with specific business requirements and best practices, apply facilitation, collaboration and leadership skills. Facilitates review and approval process, involving all key stakeholders to establish consensus and decision making provides expertise to business case development and presentation efforts. Supports all stages of the product life cycle, communicating changes, enhancements, and modifications to Product Owner/Scrum Master and business stakeholders, managing risk, and communicating client expectations to the project team. Participates in and manages change management practices ensuring successful transition to the end user.
  • Risk Management: Liaises with Centres of Expertise as needed for the purpose of following risk, compliance and data governance frameworks and risk management practices (e.g. RSCAs controls).
  • Team Support: Participates in squad meetings to discuss current activities and provide an advanced level of input and expertise on problems and issues. Provides input to reports regarding status of assignments, ensuring leader is alerted to any related issues or concerns. Provide mentorship and coaching to less experienced team members. Provides proxy coverage for other squad roles and chapter related needs as required.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Business Administration or in a related field required; related designation or certification preferred
  • 6 years of related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5-7 years experience in configuring and/or managing HCM modules for a variety of organizations required; this experience with Oracle applications is an asset
  • Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and associated tools is an asset
  • Experience in HCM build and operations an asset
  • Experience in large system implementation an asset
  • Leading a portion of a complex project an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex business requirements, identify gaps, and propose effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize, multi-task and work well in a high-pressure environment with aggressive timelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective leadership skills including the ability to motivate, guide and adapt while fostering a cohesive team environment towards achieving a collective goal
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion HCM, ERP, and cloud-based applications and related data management modules
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.

Pay TransparencySalary Range: $87,280 – $111,800Please note, the salary range mentioned in this job posting should serve as a guide. The final compensation offered may vary based on a variety of factors including bonuses and/or incentives, or a candidate’s skills and experience.
