The School of Nursing, Allied and Public Health is expanding its advanced clinical practice teaching team to support growing provision in this area. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an established advanced clinical practitioner to join the team. The post would suit a practising advanced clinical practitioner looking to develop their education pillar. Whilst the post is offered as a two day per week substantive appointment, there may be scope for some flexibility with these arrangements.Abreast of current advances, you will be part of a talented and dynamic academic team supporting our high-profile MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and Non-medical Prescribing programmes, and other post-qualifying provision with a focus on autonomous practice. Supervision of students completing their portfolio of advanced clinical practice evidence will be an integral part of the role. There will also be opportunity to contribute to our research modules.You’re likely to be a clinically credible advanced practitioner and prescriber who is keen to consolidate/combine a career in higher education, or an experienced lecturer with an established advanced practice and prescribing teaching profile. You will have the underpinning theoretical knowledge and current clinical expertise to teach prescribing and physical assessment confidently at level 7, along with other autonomous practice modules aligned to your scope of advanced practice (for example, minor injury and minor ailment management). Forward thinking and creative, with enthusiasm for developing innovative education programmes to support professional development, you’ll have the confidence to inspire a diverse range of students.Ideally, you will have a Master’s degree in advanced clinical practice, a recognised prescribing qualification and current NMC or HCPC registration. A first degree in a life sciences subject would also be an advantage.
