Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering

The School of Engineering has seen a period of exceptional growth in research, teaching, and enterprise activities. To support and maintain such growth, we are appointing to a Senior lecturer role. We are looking for a candidate to be part of Chemical Engineering leadership team to deliver underpinning knowledge and experience in the subject area across the school. The successful candidate must show leaderships qualities with the potential of developing and leading high-quality programmes that integrate core chemical engineering skills with modern and emerging technologies. They will also be expected to play an important role in the development, delivery, and assessment of material in two or more of the following subjects:
Applicants must have a strong research profile, the potential to develop internationally recognised research programmes, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Indeed, we wish to invite applications from a broad range of candidates with different skill sets. Preference will be given to applicants with a first degree in chemical engineering, a PhD in a relevant subject, and combine excellence in teaching with the capacity to conduct novel, interdisciplinary engineering research that will expand and complement the school’s research strengths.Familiarity with the UK higher education system and external accreditation process will be an advantage.The successful candidate will be based at the Medway campus but may be required to work at the university’s other campuses.
