Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS)This full time, permanent role is available from August 2025.The roleThe University of Exeter Law School is one of the UK’s leading law schools with an international reputation for world-leading research and teaching. Currently ranked 15th in the UK by The Times (2025), the Law School is committed to furthering the goals of sustainable development and social justice through our teaching, research and impact-generating activities. Situated in the beautiful Streatham campus, the Law School has a strong tradition in EU law and socio-legal studies.The Law School is entering an exciting phase of expansion and future-facing growth. We are thus keen to appoint a Senior Lecturer (Education and Research) and are interested in candidates able to deliver teaching in any area of law, although expertise in one or more of the following would be desirable: Criminal Law; Company Law; Equity and Trusts; Land Law; Artificial Intelligence and the Law; Intellectual Property Law.About youYou will have:

  • A PhD or equivalent in company law and have an independent, internationally-recognised research programme in a relevant active field of research
  • A strong record in attracting funding for research, or demonstrate potential to attract such funding
  • An active approach to inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research
  • Enthusiasm for delivering high quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and modules
  • Strong connections and funded projects with business and community partners;
  • Involvement in projects which develop impact
  • A strong potential for research leadership
  • A track record in refereed publications and success in significant grant capture;
  • Relationships with external organisations and funders/ and knowledge and experience of key sectors or business challenges
