This position will be remotely based in the United States and is responsible for large customers across the MedTech business, requiring up to 25% travel.

The Senior Manager of Capital and Digital Strategy Role is responsible for leading the development, approval, execution and launch readiness strategies and acquisition models for current and future Capital and Digital Assets across Johnson and Johnson Med Tech. Additionally, role will be required to assist in customer facing presentations to help close, develop and assist in Strategic Customer Group Capital discussions. The Senior Manager is responsible in the development and launch of Capital and Digital Assets and Strategies within the US. Supporting each JJMT Capital Platform in meeting business sales objectives. At this level, the position will also serve as customer facing support for SCG aligned accounts, and regional alignment when needed. This job is not eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reports to Director, Contract Strategy and Value Based Offerings SCG- Johnson & Johnson MedTech (JJMT).

  • Supports the Marketing, Service and Commercial Operations by Platform to ensure strategies are aligned to business goals.

  • Manages Delegation Approval authorities within the Capital and Digital Platforms for Hand off to Offer Development and Contract Management.

  • Works collaboratively, as a member of the overall IDN account team, to align toward broader organizational goals

  • Accountable for the co-creation of contract strategy and pricing across platforms/product lines

  • Understand the full set of JJMT products and offerings, strategies, and business objectives

  • In all aspects of the role, the following competencies will be utilized and needed:

  • Strategic Account Planning, Business Acumen, Healthcare Ecosystem, Negotiation and Consultation as well as Executional Excellence

  • Manage existing business and new opportunities by thoroughly understanding the entire digital surgery business and timelines necessary to close deals and create customer optionality

  • Demonstrates a high level of digital intelligence and the aptitude to function in new technology-oriented environments.

  • Work with the sales managers on proper launch cadence for robotics.

  • Work with the marketing and commercial education teams for digital surgery.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred

Skills and Experience:

  • Capital Healthcare sales experience and deep understanding of the digital/robotics healthcare market is required

  • 7 Years of health care business experience required

  • Solid understanding of the U.S. healthcare market, including industry trends, customer dynamics and legal and compliance requirements required

  • Experience developing and successfully executing customer negotiations is required

  • Experience in any of the following required: account management, contracting, marketing and sales management

  • Financial acumen required, an understanding of gross profit, erosion, pricing impact and capital accounting knowledge is preferred

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups with an enterprise mindset required

  • Collaborative style, ability to process multiple, complex, and often conflicting inputs to build executable contract strategy

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Highly effective communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage through constructive conflict

  • This position is remotely based in the United States

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time – up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year
