Vishay Newport, UK is currently seeking applicants for a Senior Manager E-Mobility Application.Responsible for: The Senior Manager, E-Mobility Applications is the hardware and software expert as a user to test new customer designs such as on-board chargers, traction inverter, DCDC converter and auxiliary high voltage circuit.Job Location: Hybrid working schedule from Newport, UKWhat you will be doing:– To evaluate and measure performance of devices and to define all details regarding the power electronic components.– Cooperate with SME team, to manages customer projects in the laboratory, the system test or submodule tests are main focuses.– To identify the requirements of key components for different circuit and application which supply to different VISHAY division, active component and passive component, the necessary specifications for product R&D.– To lead the test of latest applications in the laboratory, software experience with automotive simulation tools will be necessary.– To lead problem shooting for E-Mobility Applications major challengesWhat you will bring along:

• PhD Level Electronics or Physics
• Minimum 5 years experience with Automotive HV projects or power converters.
• SME in electrical machines and DC/DC converter topologies (CLLC, LLC,…) , active and passive component technology
• knowledge and experience in high-voltage circuit field
• Excellent knowledge of WBG Semiconductors
• Good knowledge of passive components (capacitor and magnetic component)
• Very good understanding of Power Inverters and Converters for Electrical Vehicles
