Program Overview – Finance, Central Services
Reporting to the VP Finance, the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for the analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning of all programs delivered by Woodgreen Community Services (WCS) and accompanying entities. This role provides an opportunity to work in a highly visible, constantly evolving, and stimulating environment, providing direct support to the Executive team.
What You Will Do

Provide detailed reporting on financial performance at a program level, highlighting key operational trends, risk and opportunities

Month-end reporting and variance analysis

Support the financial forecasting process for in-year forecasts, budget and long-range planning.

Drive detailed analytics on revenue and costing trends.

Collaborate cross-functionally to define key strategic/operational metrics for programs

Lead the development and implementation of financial models to support scenario planning and strategic decision-making.

Develop financial analysis to supplement the development of business cases put forward by program areas

Prepare financial analysis presentation materials for executive team presentations

Manage multiple deadlines and meet all corporate requirements

Ensure accuracy and completeness of information

Provide continuous improvement of the forecasting, reporting, and analysis
What You Bring to the Team
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

Professional Certification: CPA, or other relevant financial certifications is highly desirable.

Experience in Non-Profit Sector: 5-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or managerial role, preferably within the non-profit sector.

Knowledge of Non-Profit Accounting Standards: Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles, fund accounting, and reporting for donors, grants, and restricted funds.

Leadership Experience: Proven track record in managing and mentoring finance teams, fostering professional growth, and developing talent.

Experience with Financial Modeling: Demonstrated experience in building financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.

Adaptability in a Dynamic Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
