As a Senior Manager, Pipeline & Portfolio Internal Communications, you will support BioPharmaceuticals R&D and be responsible for preparing scientific communications materials. Through expert scientific knowledge, you will develop scientific content, messaging and materials to inspire and engage internal audiences alongside being responsible for creating content for the BioPharmaceuticals R&D monthly business report and newsflow to support pipeline milestones, and engaging with stakeholders, including senior leaders, from across BioPharmaceuticals R&D. You will be a key member of the BioPharmaceuticals R&D Corporate Affairs team, working closely with internal and external communicators to ensure alignment of activities and messaging.Accountabilities:In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of a monthly business report about BioPharmaceuticals R&D milestones to senior leaders. You will create compelling scientific content regarding our pipeline progressions for use across the organisation. You will also prepare and post internal communication materials to engage audiences in a timely manner. Additionally, you will liaise with the BioPharma R&D publications team to own tracking of our key scientific publications and will lead on delivery of compelling scientific internal communications to amplify the story of our high impact publications.Essential Skills/Experience:PhD or MS with significant experience of drug discovery/developmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a proven track record of advanced communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent PowerPoint skillsExcellent project management skillsTrack record of planning and delivery successExcellent communication skills, particularly with scientific and complex informationProven ability to drive projects forward to a successful conclusion in a matrix organizationProactive with effective interpersonal and influencing skillsWillingness and proven ability to function in a hands-on capacity when necessary to achieve milestones, resolve issues and build an organization/function capable of driving toward measurable objectivesAble to recognise or anticipate change with appropriate responseExcellent attention to detailExcellent stakeholder management skills and ability to develop strong relationships with senior leaders and other key stakeholdersBroad business perspective and acumen and goal-oriented approachWhen we put diverse teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
