Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Acts as a key strategic partner providing recommendations and strategies to build brand equity and awareness for assigned focused area.
  • Responsible for developing thoughtful strategic plans to achieve priorities, obtain support from stakeholders, successfully execute, measure and report on success. This includes product launches, growth areas and digital programs.
  • Partners with Scotia Digital, Digital Marketing and SGAM Content, Advertising and business partners to ensure coordination and successful execution of marketing programs
  • Drives a culture of innovation and efficiency; identifying opportunities to automate, improve or eliminate low-value initiatives and maximize ROI.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and demonstrates a commitment to Scotiabank’s values: accountability, passion, integrity and respect.   • Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing;
  • 7-10 years of experience in the Asset Management Industry;
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience
  • 3-5 years of people management experience
  • Solid understanding of investment products and specifically mutual funds;
  • Completion of the CSC or CIM
  • CFA charterholder or candidate preferred;
  • MBA an asset
  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically.
