About the Role:
Corporate Responsibility seeks a Senior Manager to join the existing high-functioning, agile sustainability disclosure and strategy team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Reporting and Strategy, this individual will coordinate with Finance, Legal and other teams to ensure S&P Global meets sustainability reporting expectations and obligations. We expect this role to evolve as the sustainability disclosure regulatory landscape changes.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Lead coordination of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) readiness and implementation project by engaging with internal and external stakeholders, liaising with external consultants, and managing workstreams (Corporate Responsibility, Legal, Finance, Enterprise Risk, Policy, Procurement, and others)

Following completion of the initial CSRD Double Materiality Assessment, manage ongoing materiality monitoring and systems to manage impacts, risks and opportunities (IROs) with a regular cadence.

Engage with internal content experts to ensure appropriate coordination, ownership, and understanding of the regulations. Identify and manage actions needed to close gaps.

Increase alignment across our responses to regulatory-based narrative, metrics and claims to ensure best practice compliance.

Prepare and manage materials for internal audit and third-party assurance, including managing updates as identified during the assurance and audit processes.

Coordinate and partner with relevant teams to ensure tracking and compliance regarding sustainability disclosure

Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure ESG topics are appropriately integrated into the company’s external reporting and documentation.

Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate activities regarding sustainability-related regulations, including but not limited to California laws (SB253 & SB261), France’s Freedom to Choose a Professional Future Act, and the UK’s Modern Slavery Act.

Support sustainability education efforts to ensure data owners and subject-matter experts understand the opportunities and obligations for regulatory disclosure.

Support growth of sustainability-minded culture and ownership via further employee engagement and learning opportunities

Work with Sustainable1, corporate and divisional teams to implement a learning path for employees to better understand their role in implementing the company’s CR strategy and provide ways to further engage, excite, and incent them to participate.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,872 to $145,540. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, data science, or related field
-
Knowledge of ESG regulatory environment, such as CSRD, CS3D, California environmental laws and others
-
Environmental and/or sustainability strategy and disclosure experience
-
Strong program management and stakeholder engagement experience
-
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using cloud-based technologies, especially Workiva
-
Effective communication and coordination skills to ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration
-
Excellent interpersonal, program management, communications, and presentation skills
-
Pluses: knowledge of global sustainability standards and disclosure requirements (e.g. GHG Protocol, SBTi, ESRS) and/or investor-preferred sustainability ratings (e.g. Sustainalytics, CSA, MSCI, Bloomberg)
