This is a fantastic career development opportunity for a band 6/7 midwife to pursue a career in consultant midwifery. Personal development, mentorship and support will be provided, enabling you to identify any development needs, preparing you for a senior leadership role in the future.
Caring for over 5000 women and birthing people a year, UHS is also a regional centre for fetal and maternal medicine, and home to one of the largest neonatal units in the country. The successful candidate will work closely with our two consultant midwives who are passionate about supporting people to make informed decisions about their care and to optimise birth outcomes. You will also work closely with our senior leadership and multiprofessional teams and local Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP).
