This is a key leadership role within the Institute of Nursing and Midwifery Care Excellence, supporting and enabling the Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery (R&I) and Clinical Lead for Research and Innovation in relation to research and innovation activity. The post holder is responsible for the development of systems and policies supporting nursing and midwifery research and innovation across the Trust and within the Institute for N&M Care Excellence. This includes initiating and developing research and development programmes and policies which have an impact outside NUH. They will promote sharing of best practice and an organisational culture of learning and excellence.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will support the Assistant Director of Nursing to ensure alignment of Corporate and Divisional research, innovation for the non-medical clinical workforce. They will have high level leadership, analytical and judgment skills to realise the proposed outcomes of the N&M Strategy through informed development, investment and evaluation of the research, innovation and evidence based practice (EBP). The post holder is responsible for compliance with research and professional regulations and professional standards as required by the Health Research Authority, Health Education England, and other national policy, regulatory bodies and research funders as required. - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or closely health related degree
- Evidence of completed Masters training in research
- Additional related clinical specialist qualification
