We will appoint at the appropriate level depending on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.SummaryThis position in the Treisman group will participate in a programme of experimental research under the guidance of the Group Leader, provide support to group research staff, and be responsible for laboratory management.Project summaryCell cycle entry and progression, differentiation, and cell adhesion and motility are major targets for intracellular signals generated by growth factors. Work in the group focusses on Rho and Ras signalling, major signalling pathways involved in these processes. Central interests are: (1) the transcriptional regulator SRF, its cognate cofactors, and the gene network that it controls; and (2) the RPEL family of G-actin binding regulatory proteins, which represent a unique interface between cytoskeletal dynamics and cell regulatory processes. We use a multidisciplinary approach, involving biochemistry, structural biology, molecular biology, cell biology and genomics, applied to both tissue culture and mouse cancer and immune models.
