Join us!Job SummaryReporting to the Category Manager, the Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for conducting all procurement activities necessary to deliver value on their category. This role is a permanent position as part of the category Engineering Design & Construction / Bridges & Structure team.Main ResponsibilitiesProcurement Management· Interact with internal stakeholders, understand their needs and promote value creation· Conduct data analytics during different stages of the sourcing process· Develop category strategy and supplier market knowledge· Build and manage Request for Proposals, evaluate supplier responses and prepare business cases to submit for management approval· Negotiate contracts with suppliers (commercial & legal clauses)· Manage contracts, supplier relationships and supplier performance.· Work with Buyers to ensure all rates and agreements are appropriately administered in the Purchase to Pay (P2P) process (i.e. SAP, Ariba, Fieldglass etc.)· Ensure that all internal requirements in terms of compliance to procurement policy are meet and addressed· Participate and support department wide projects when requiredWorking ConditionsThe role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The role requires minimal (20%) travel (infrequent and short trips). The position work from home on Wednesday and Friday, and in the office on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Office is based in Montreal.RequirementsExperience· Design and Construction Procurement Experience· Between 4 to 5 years experience in a similar roleEducation/Certification/Designation· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringCompetencies· Continuously displays a customer centric attitude in order to improve the customer’s journey· Inspires others with impactful communications and adapts to the audience· Collaborates with key internal stakeholders to enable higher productivity· Negotiations (Negotiates towards a win-win outcome while taking all points of view into consideration)· Applies analytical thinking to make recommendations that pursue sustainable performance· Project management· Deals with pressure and change by staying calm to quickly adapt to changesTechnical Skills/Knowledge· Ability to read and understand design drawings, specifications and technical requirements· Ability to drive innovative analysis to understand the market trends, cost drivers, suppliers and best practices· Strong technical skills related Design and Construction tender document· Understand strategic sourcing best practices· Understand contract structure, terms and conditions and supplier performance principles· Knowledge of commercial aspects of product/service categories· Understand rail transportation or logistic industry**Any knowledge for any of the above would be considered as an assetAbout CNCN is a world-class transportation leader and trade-enabler.
