Job SummaryJob DescriptionWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?The Chief Data Office’s Enterprise Client Data team is undertaking an enterprise-wide initiative to enable and accelerate the build and deployment of a centralized Enterprise Client Data Master (CDM) in partnership with RBC’s business platforms. In this role, a successful candidate will act as a ‘center of gravity’ for agile delivery squads, establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, and contribute to the overall vision and backlog of the Enterprise Client Data team.WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Build strong relationships with platform data subject matter experts and work with end users to understand needs
- Communicate the Enterprise Client Data vision, roadmap and contribute to the establishment and ongoing prioritization of the team’s backlog and value articulation
- Establish business requirements and work in partnership with architecture and technology to build a modular and reusable solution
- Gain confidence with partners in Privacy, Legal, Risk & Compliance through the establishment of strong documentation
- Communicate key progress to leadership, outlining delivery squad capacity and required capabilities as the team develops new features
- Identify opportunities to standardize, reuse and extend existing products associated with the Client Data Master
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Must have:
- Ability to work with agile methodology including setting product vision, building and maintaining backlogs, constructing release plans and defining product performance metrics
- Able to think critically, set a compelling vision, and advocates for that vision and for the needs/wants of the client with multiple partners
- Strong leadership, collaboration and stakeholder management skills with the ability to impact and influence to drive outcomes
- Strong data management and analytics skills with experience in executing and implementing initiatives and working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Change the bank mindset with the ability to coordinate strategic components across the enterprise
Nice-to-have:
- Strong knowledge of Master Data Management best practices
- Knowledge and understanding of Client data, Client processes, and data domain
- A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.
- An understanding of the regulatory and privacy landscape as it pertains to client data
