JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of the School of Nursing Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
  • Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the DEI related program’s continued success and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes.
  • Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational, statistical, and financial reports is accurate and factual, and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies.
  • Designs DEI programs, initiatives, and materials, conducts educational sessions, and represents the office at various conferences, meetings, or seminars.
  • May plan, administer, and/or monitor program budgets and/or grants, and conduct financial forecasting in collaboration with DEI leadership.
  • May develop fundraising and outreach initiatives, including researching and identifying funding sources, and writing and submitting grant proposals.
  • Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations throughout the university community. that seek knowledge of the programs/initiatives; may write and present reports and speeches upon requests.
  • Maintains complete and accurate program records.
  • May serve on or chair various nursing and University committees.
  • May supervise programming staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
  • Performs other related responsibilities and duties as required, including administrative tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
