Organizational Context and Scope :
Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. Operational in Pakistan since 1981, IOM has been implementing variety of programmes related to humanitarian assistance in response to disasters and crisis, resettlement movUnder the overall supervision of Chief of Mission and direct supervision of Emergency Health Officer, and in close coordination with related partners, the Senior Programme Associate Assistant will be responsible for supporting provision of medical and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Support the Emergency Health Officer Unit Heads in planning, implementation, and monitoring of operational project activities in IOM’s work with respective implementing partners, in accordance with the projects proposals and other relevant documents.
- In close coordination with the Emergency Health Officer and M&E Officer, prepare and edit donor reports to support compliance with donor regulations and obligations, as well as the report finalization process with Headquarters and the Regional Office.
- Support Emergency Health Officer in overseeing all information management tools required to track service delivery and identify gaps including reports, mapping, workplans, spreadsheets, and others as required.
- Support in developing and maintaining close collaboration and dialogue with relevant stakeholders, such as Government entities, United Nations agencies, International Non-Governmental organizations, etc. to enhance project’s effectiveness and avoid duplication.
- Support Emergency Health Officer in monitoring budget in coordination Resources Management Unit to ensure accurate and timely implementation of all projects.
- In coordination with the Monitoring and Evaluation team, organize the collection, processing, analysis, documentation of project data for reporting purposes and ensure a systematic approach in data management.
- Involve ment in monitoring and support ing supervision visits for IOM and Implementing Partners
- Ensure that Facilitate cross-cutting issues such as gender, children, environment and other vulnerable groups are considered during programme development and implementation.
- Provide and coordinate inputs for information requests from Headquarters, the Regional Office, other IOM missions and external partners, such as donors, government, partner agencies, and implementing partners, in close coordination with Programme Manager. Coordinate with the Media and Communications Officer to produce visibility materials for publicity to appeal to donors for resource mobilization by recommending and producing content.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education :
- University Degree from an accredited academic institution in Psychology/Counselling/Social Science/Public Relation/Economics/Development Studies/ International Relations or other relevant disciplines, with five of relevant professional experience, or. Master’s Degree an advantage
- High School diploma with seven years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
- A background in MHPSS, community driven development, resilience and/or working with displacement affected communities.
- Proven experience in: the logical framework approach, Result Based Management and other strategic planning approaches; M&E methods and approaches (including quantitative, qualitative and participatory); implementation of M&E systems and plans; training in M&E development and implementation; information analysis and report writing;
- Proven experience in data management, analysis and reporting in a humanitarian or development context;
- Expert knowledge of MS office and advanced statistical skills including knowledge of database management, statistical and project management software is a strong advantage;
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to write clearly and accurately.
- Knowledge and understanding of the migration issues, return and reintegration in the region is an advantage.
- Experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-governmental or governmental institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting.

- Good knowledge of Word, Excel and the internet is a strong advantage.

Languages :
Required :
- Fluency in English, Dari and Pashto is required (oral and written).
Desirable :
- Working Knowlege of any local Lanuage would be an advantage
