Job Description:Our client is redefining the way construction services are delivered. They pride ourselves on delivering top-quality commercial construction projects throughout our region. Our client works with a broad range of clients, and the project scopes vary from md range renovations to multi-million dollar new construction projects. They are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Commercial Construction Team. As a Project Manager, you’ll rigorously manage project activities to ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget and adhere to high standards of operational and construction excellence. This role entails project management, estimating, financial management and client relationship management. This role is targeted at an intermediate to senior level professional.Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects and engineers.
- Lead the project team including architects, engineers, workplace consultants, construction managers,and administrative support.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Manage the financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.).
- Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labor and equipment, and subcontracts for construction projects.
- Review and evaluate projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Monitor performance, provide feedback and take corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements:Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Demonstrated know-how in the construction of commercial projects from start to finish.
- Proficient in MS Project or similar project management software.
- Exceptional understanding of finance and job costing.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment.
- Superb organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- A professional Project Management (PMP) certification is preferred.
Expected salary
$110000 – 125000 per year
