Periodically, you’ll be required to attend in-person activities or events.The role:

  • Lead cross-functional teams (e.g. business leaders, subject matter experts, and/or third-party resources) through the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle to achieve business objectives.
  • Scrum Process Facilitation serving as a servant leader for one or more Agile teams, ensuring that Scrum practices are understood and followed. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Negotiate and collaborate with vendors and system implementors at all levels while managing vendor financial and operational performance against contractual requirements.
  • Plan and deliver complex projects within scope, budget, time and expected benefits while following the appropriate Vancity Project Delivery methodology and guidelines.
  • Foster relationships with Sponsor(s) and senior stakeholders to ensure business needs and initiative deliverables/outcomes are in alignment. Proactively mitigate and escalate issues for joint resolution with Technology and Business stakeholders.
  • Present at the Steering Committee/to Senior Leadership and address expectations and concerns through clear communication and pro-active follow-ups.
  • Appropriately select an implementation methodology (i.e. agile, waterfall, hybrid) based on the nature of the work and other organizational factors. Identify and work to resolve delivery dependencies within assigned project, the broader Strategic/Technology Initiatives portfolio and Operational priorities.
  • Capture and monitor delivery metrics and work to continuously improve quality, velocity and time to market.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team resources, influencing them and their teams to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

  • Technology savvy– You are constantly seeking to gain knowledge that is relevant to your role and to apply it in effective ways.

You have:

  • A minimum of 10+ years’ experience delivering technology and business initiatives
  • PMP designation or similar
  • PMI, Scrum Alliance, or Scaled Agile certification, for example:
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • PMI Disciplined Agile (DA)Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Coach (CTC)
  • Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC)
  • SAFe Certified

Bonus points, if you have:

  • Experienced in leading Data Cloud Migrations, and/or Cloud Computing Concepts, Data Migration Tools and Techniques, DevOps Practices
  • Experience working in the Financial Services or Financial Technologies industries.
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP)
  • International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification / training
  • Prosci or similar Organizational Change Management training
