We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.Job SummaryOur Roads & Highways Sector is seeking a Roadway Senior Project Manager in the Greater Toronto Area.This role will report to the Sector Manager and requires 15+ years of experience delivering roadway projects in Ontario, a P.Eng. designation, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and a demonstrated successful partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and other relevant municipal transportation authorities.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, acting as a seller/doer by providing leadership in both project management and business development, internally and externally. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing our Surface Transportation business across the region, including work with MTO and other local transportation agencies.Responsibilities & QualificationsResponsibilities:Provide leadership and senior expertise on surface transportation/roadway projects within the GTA.Identify potential markets, clients, and opportunities, and strategically position TYLin to secure new business.Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients and teaming partners in the GTA.Serve as Client Manager for certain clients when requested, ensuring strong relationships and satisfaction.Coordinate business development efforts with the Sector Manager, Canada BD Director, and other Line of Business leaders.Play a key role in the “Go/No-Go” decision-making process for pursuits.Lead and contribute to the preparation of effective marketing and technical proposals and presentations aimed at winning projects in the GTA.Participate in relevant professional organizations and networks within the GTA.Prepare, review, and negotiate design fee estimates with clients.Manage ongoing surface transportation projects in Ontario, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.Provide technical support and lead the design of roadway projects in line with Ontario guidelines and standards.Effectively manage and perform scope, schedule, budget, and quality functions in alignment with TYLin policies.Direct the preparation, tracking, and submission of deliverables for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery.Support staff development and mentorship, fostering a collaborative and skilled team.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Ontario is required.Project Manager with 15+ years’ experience in delivering roadway projects within Ontario, with specific experience on GTA projects preferred.Experience with municipal transportation authorities such as Metrolinx, Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), and Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is highly desirable.Design-Build project experience is a plus.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Client-focused, committed to providing clients with effective and innovative solutions.High integrity, demonstrating ethical, fair, and sustainable practices.Proven collaboration experience within a diverse, inclusive team focused on technical excellence.Additional InformationWe believe in recognizing the unique value that each individual brings to our team.
