Applicants are encouraged to self-identify on their electronic application.Under the direction of the Acquisitions and Disposals Manager, the Senior Real Estate Specialist is responsible for managing the real estate requirements on behalf of a variety of internal municipal clients. The position requires strong negotiation skills and business acumen. This position deals with complex real estate transactions and requires a comprehensive knowledge of real estate principles, development, finance, valuation and planning.In this position, the Senior Real Estate Specialist will oversee projects requiring a high degree of risk management and exceptional skills in project management and communications. The Senior Real Estate Specialist will provide leadership in the implementation and continued development of a successful municipal real estate service model for Halifax Regional Municipality.QUALIFICATIONS
