About usThe Division of Biosciences at UCL is one of the world’s foremost centres for research and teaching in the biological sciences. We have an outstanding international reputation and a community of over 500 staff and more than 300 PhD students engaged in cutting edge research and collaboration.This is an exciting opportunity to join Dr Kerri Kinghorn’s research group to work on Drosophila models of lysosomal storage disorders using multi-omic approaches.About the roleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated researcher with a deep understanding of Drosophila genetics and proven expertise in methodologies related to neurodegeneration, immunity, and infection. This exciting position focuses on advancing research into lysosomal storage disorders and Parkinson’s disease, leveraging Drosophila models and multi-omic approaches. The post holder will provide day-to-day management and mentorship to a team of researchers, fostering a collaborative and productive research environment.The position is offered at grade 8 and is funded by the Wellcome Trust with a funding end date of 1st March 2029 in the first instance.This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Academic Staff. The ideal candidate will have a track record in analysing RNA-sequencing, proteomic, and metabolomic datasets, alongside national recognition for their contributions to the field, evidenced by high-quality publications.
