Senior Research Software Engineer – HPC

Based within the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences on the World Heritage site at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, you will be part of an expansion of our world-leading Multi-Disciplinary and Multi-Scale Modelling team. Joining the Expanding Excellence in England (E3) funded, M34Impact project you will contribute to tackling major societal challenges affecting the environment, quality of life, safety, security, and the economy.The role is intended to support the development and deployment of M34Impact’s world leading software tools – software that models complex multi-physics phenomena and agent-based simulation – on High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters. The role therefore cuts across and supports all of the research, enterprise and knowledge exchange themes and activities of M34Impact. In the role you will collaborate with researchers from across M34Impact to deliver shared software engineering and scientific computing capabilities whilst following professional best practice. There is also the potential to carry out research and to contribute to teaching.
