Key Duties (including but not limited to):

• Lead research and analytical projects
• Present R&D results to both internal and external stakeholders
• Design and create tools to facilitate the building of simulation sets used within pricing and portfolio management applications
• Ensure pricing workflows incorporate all necessary adjustments and are in line with the internal view of risk
• Design and implement technology driven solutions to improve efficiency with a focus on automation

Qualifications required:

• Master or PhD in a quantitative subject, natural sciences or engineering.

Experience required:

• Knowledge of atmospheric sciences, seismology, hydrology and engineering practices relating to natural catastrophes.
• Technical knowledge of vendor models advantageous (RMS/AIR).
• Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, Excel, GIS, or other programming languages is expected.
• Good understanding of the general (re)insurance market.
