The Cancer Research UK Scotland Institute (formerly Beatson Institute) is a world leading cancer research institute, situated in Glasgow. The Translational Molecular Imaging Facility underpins advanced cancer research at the Cancer Research UK Scotland Institute. We work closely with research groups to develop innovative methods for visualising molecular pathways in cancer. Led by Dr. David Lewis, our diverse team of scientists oversees a wide range of advanced molecular imaging projects. We possess expertise in positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), radiochemistry, image analysis, and mouse modelling. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and directly contribute to maximising research output by collaborating on groundbreaking advances in PET/MR imaging.We seek a Senior Scientific Officer to work alongside our teams, delivering preclinical PET/MRI imaging projects in our state-of-the-art facility. A degree in Biology (or similar) is required. A PhD (or equivalent experience) is an advantage, along with experience in establishing in vivo mouse models and administering substances to laboratory animals. We vaue initiative, curiosity, enthusiasm, and a strong collaborative spirit. While a Home Office licence, knowledge of preclinical in vivo imaging technologies (such as PET, SPECT, CT, MRI), and experience with imaging software are desirable, we provide training and development opportunities.Please use the below link for job application and quicker response.
