Scientist Bioassay – ImmunologyHere at Lonza we have a great opportunity available for a Scientist/Senior Scientist to join our Early Development Services department. This is a permanent position based out of our Cambridge facility.The role involves the isolation and banking of human primary cells, and the design and execution of various in vitro cell-based bioassays for multiple client projects.Key Responsibilities:Utilising existing assay platforms to assess the immune response to therapeutic moleculesIsolation, banking and characterisation of human PBMC (peripheral blood mononuclear cells)Improvement/development of assay platformsInterested?What we need you to have:Bachelor Degree in Biological Sciences/ImmunologyMaster Degree/PhD or equivalent experience in Biological Sciences/ImmunologyPrevious experience with PBMC and/or primary immune cell culture in in vitro assays using strong aseptic techniqueExperience with immunological techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISpot/FluoroSpot, Luminex, ELISA or live cell imaging to assess immune cell functionExcellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent record keeping and attention to detailNice to have:Understanding of human immunology and bioassay developmentRelevant industry experience
