Senior Software Engineer, Frontend Platform

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be an integral part of the team responsible for our Frontend Platform, the foundation of Thrive’s products. You will design, build, and innovate our libraries, tools and systems that enable Thrive’s product teams to deliver a world class product.

How You’ll Contribute:

• Build on the capabilities provided by micro-frontend architecture at Thrive.
• Create and contribute to core frontend libraries
• Lay the foundation of how engineers at Thrive write and ship code for frontend applications
• Collaborate with leaders across Engineering, Product and Design to shape up short, medium and long term roadmap for the frontend infrastructure
• Participate in the development process from helping scope work to measuring success and iterating based on insights from stakeholders, including other engineers.
• Mentor engineers on frontend technologies and best practices.
• Advocate for reliability, localization, accessibility and performance for a global audience

Must Haves:

• Production development experience in React, Webpack, TypeScript
• 5 or more years of software engineering experience; B2C platform or service experience is a plus
• Experience building, running, and debugging scalable and reliable microservice-based applications
• Strong understanding of systems and network design and their impact on application architecture
• Ability to work well in a team setting, communicate effectively with other team members, and provide mentorship.
• Relational database-driven RESTful and/or GraphQL API application architecture and design experience
• Experience working with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Compensation for this role depends on level, and will likely fall in the $109,000-210,000 range. We provide a competitive mix of salary, performance bonus, and equity
