Job Description:Teaching Office Administrator at Grade UE05: £27,179 – £33,482 per annumor Senior Teaching Office Administrator at Grade UE06: £34,132 – £39,355 per annumCSE/School of ChemistryFull-time: 35 hours per weekFixed-term: for 12 monthsWe are looking for an effective, adaptable and motivated Teaching Office Administrator to be a part of our Chemistry Teaching Office at the School of Chemistry.For the right candidate, we are open to appointing a Senior Teaching Office Administrator at Grade UE06, who will take a leading role within the Teaching Office team.The Opportunity:As our colleague, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining efficient and effective teaching office administration. This role combines the need for excellent administrative and communication skills, an organised approach to prioritising of tasks and excellent attention to detail. You will be responsible for the administration of all teaching and assessment activities for key components of our Chemistry degrees. You will be expected to seek to develop your expertise in your area, and you will be proactive in identifying opportunities to develop and improve our service to students and academic colleagues.As noted above, for the right candidate we are open to appointing a Senior Teaching Office Administrator. In addition to being responsible for the administration of key elements of the School’s undergraduate and taught postgraduate teaching and assessment, you will take a leading role within the Teaching Office team, deputising for the Teaching Office Manager and representing the Teaching Office team at University committees and meetings as required. You will also use your experience and skills to take a leading role in continuous improvement initiatives related to the Teaching Office’s ways of working and responsibilities.This is role represents an opportunity to play a key part in contributing to the teaching office team.
