Lyst has raised over $160m from leading investors including Accel, Balderton, Molten Ventures, Fidelity International, and LVMH.The RoleWe are seeking a Senior User Researcher to join our Centralised Design tribe. Research plays a pivotal role in how we connect with our customers and build the right products for their needs. As a senior member of a cross-functional and multidisciplinary squad, you will lead and shape the customer strategy, informing our product roadmap and ensuring we deliver exceptional user experiences.You will not only engage with but also advance and innovate in a range of research techniques, from quantitative statistical analysis to qualitative user interviews. As a senior researcher, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing research strategies, providing guidance to the broader Design Organisation and collaborators in Product and Engineering, and fostering a customer-centric culture throughout Lyst.Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive innovative research strategies that inform product development and feature prioritization
- Lead and manage the research roadmap, aligning it with business goals and stakeholder expectations
- Collaborate with the Director of Design to evolve and implement research and customer principles at Lyst
- Serve as the authoritative voice of the customer, influencing key decisions across the organization
- Provide guidance and mentorship on research methodologies to members of the Design Organisation, Product teams, and Engineering teams
- Establish and maintain research best practices, ensuring high-quality outputs across all projects
- Translate complex research findings into actionable insights for various stakeholders
- Contribute to the broader UX community through thought leadership and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Have extensive experience in user research, with a proven track record of impact in product development
- Possess deep expertise in a wide range of research methodologies and their practical applications
- Demonstrate strong strategic thinking, able to connect user needs with business objectives and product strategy
- Excel at synthesizing complex data sets and communicating insights to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to influence and guide non-research teams in adopting user-centric approaches
- Are adept at stakeholder management and can influence decision-making at all levels of the organization
- Champion user-centered design principles and can advocate for them effectively across different departments
- Thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and can adapt to changing priorities
- Continuously seek to innovate and improve research practices
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- Experience working in e-commerce or fashion tech industries
- Experience with emerging technologies and their impact on user behavior
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis software
