We are looking for a passionate Senior UI/UX Designer who can help explore and propose solutions to complex system design problems and design the best way to visualize data to make it meaningful and useful.
As a Senior UI/UX Designer for our Ultrasound business, you will be responsible for the user experience for embedded, mobile, and desktop software products. You will cocreate those digital experiences with a small design team in close collaboration with relevant business counterparts (i.e. clinical/ marketing). You’ll be setting the design direction by translating user needs and business requirements into workflows, scenarios, information architecture, navigation models, and wireframes. You will lead the creation of user interface mockups, prototypes, and documentation to support development teams. You engage team members in crafting a product vision within a larger domain and advocate for creating new value through passionate and compelling arguments and examples.
You are able to take a lead role for the design aspects of bringing software experiences to market as a part of a teams of designers, researchers, engineers, product managers and strategists. You setup usability tests when relevant and guide external agencies in their work. At each stage, you will seek to discover users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights. You use your knowledge and user data to create the best possible user experience and interaction design.
You have a collaborative way of working as well as a proactive and innovative mindset that allows you to create innovative and appropriate user experiences that solve our business and customer needs. You are able to collaborate as part of a product development team to enable product teams to bring user experience to life through software development.

Conduct and lead analysis of user needs. Initiate and execute own analysis and research to gain deeper insights as input for solution creation

Apply creative expertise on higher complexity project or program level with a high level of content specialism

Create frameworks and interaction concepts across domains.

Define role of product within a larger ecosystem. Establish design principles and guide teams with clarity and accuracy.

Create user focused strategies, innovations, solutions and experiences and the user testing and validation of these, considering usability, sustainability and appropriate visual and verbal articulation in line with DLS and Brand guidelines.

Create information architectures and workflows Create functional designs for application screens (wireframes and prototypes).

Apply and define interface and interaction principles in conjunction with guidance from existing design language documentation. Define and apply usability principles specific to the contexts of use.

Craft experiences, prototypes and demos that together create a great experience in alignment with the Philips brand and design language. Use appropriate skills (sketching, prototyping and specification) to define and communicate interaction concepts to marketing, software development, and customers.

Technical: Identify opportunities and constraints inherent in technology and platform decisions and ability to illuminate the impact of technology choices on user experience and product quality.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in graphic, interaction design and/or new media design
-
Ideally have 10+ years of relevant experience in interaction design (embedded, mobile, desktop software devices)

You have developed complex user interfaces, platforms, and UX roadmaps
-
You have experience in leading and guiding junior designers or small design teams
-
You have managed as a creative lead complex stakeholder environment
-
You are passionate about innovation, user interface design, design strategy, and overall user experience and the affinity to become a thought leader in one of those domains

You have an affection with healthcare and personal health
-
You have a strong aesthetic and visual sensitivity
-
You have excellent business communication and consulting skills
-
You are recognized for your expertise and talent in interaction design and visual design as well as for your specific competency, knowledge and capability.

You have an excellent understanding of development processes

You may have won award(s) or hold IP.
