Topics include: concepts of health and disease, patient rights, informed consent, allocation of scarce resources, euthanasia, abortion, genetic and reproductive technologies, human research, and mental health.Number of Positions: 1Estimated Course Enrollment: 75 studentsEstimated Number of Hours: 140 HoursSchedule: Lectures on Thursdays 11:00-13:00; Tutorials on Thursdays 15:00-18:00 (Lectures and Tutorials are to be delivered online-synchronously)Sessional Dates of Appointment: January 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2025Rate of Pay: $52.26 per hour plus 4% vacation pay*Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum Qualifications: Undergraduate Degree in Philosophy. One year prior experience as a TA, preferably in Philosophy or a related field at U of T. Good prior knowledge of the subject matter of the course.Description of Duties:

• Holding 3 one-hour online synchronous tutorials each week
• Preparation for tutorials and grading
• Grading

• Attending training sessions/meetings with the course instructor
• Organizing and submitting grades
• Holding office hours
• Lecture attendance
