The Asian Studies (AST) Programme, Faculty of Arts, UPEI invites applications for a sessional instructor position during the spring 2024 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary and administrative approval.Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.AST 2090 – Education in Korea and Canada: Pedagogies and Cultural Contexts (Online)Course is offered: May 6-June 13, 2024Qualifications:A doctoral or master’s degree with undergraduate and/or graduate training in Education. Applications with teaching experience in similar or related courses on Korean culture and education are preferred. Qualified candidates should be very familiar with the traditions and contemporary developments of educational system and ideas in Korea and Canada. Since this sessional course is externally funded by an international KS project grant, the recommended candidate is expected to contribute to project activities such as research or participation if possible.Preference will be given to the qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit.Application Instructions:E-mail a letter of application, an updated curriculum vitae, a tentative course syllabus, and a brief research statement to:Dr. Edward Chung
