Topics may vary but will include: electromagnetic waves and the propagation of light, basic coherence concepts and the interference of light, Fraunhofer and Fresnel diffraction, Fresnel equations, polarization of light, birefringence, blackbody radiation and principles of laser operation.Number of Positions (est): 1Course Enrolment (est): 30TA Support (est): TA support provided for practical and tutorial sections.Delivery Method: In-person synchronous.Class schedule: For the most up-to-date course timetable and delivery methods, please visit UTM timetable planner: .Dates of appointment: 06 January 2025 to 30 April 2025.Salary: Sessional Lecturer I: $9457.90, including vacation pay. Currency and mastery of subject area required.
