Sessional Lecturer – CTL3796H – LLE Practicum for MEd Field in Language TeachingCourse number and title: CTL3796H – LLE Practicum for MEd Field in Language Teaching Course description: LLE M.Ed. Field in Language Teaching candidates enrolled in this course will work alongside host teachers who are experienced in language instruction. The goal of working alongside host teachers will be to actively participate in all aspects of language instruction including but not limited to: curriculum and lesson planning, assessment development, differentiated instructions, working with individual students, and developing a deep understanding of language instruction to various age groups. The overarching goal of this practicum course is to help all LLE M.Ed. Field candidates to gain clarity in life, valuable teaching experience, connections, and employability through authentic lessons and dedicated support.Estimated TA support: NoEstimated course enrolment: 35Class schedule: Friday 09:00 – 12:00Sessional dates of appointment: 2025-09-01 – 2026-04-30Appointment percentage: 100Salary:As of September 1, 2025, the minimum stipend is $9820.70 (inclusive of vacation pay) for a half credit course.As of January 1, 2026, the minimum stipend is $ 9820.70 (inclusive of vacation pay) for a half credit course. Salary may be prorated based on the appointment percentage.Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should possess a doctorate degree in an Education-related field and demonstrated currency and mastery of the subject area. Mastery may be demonstrated, but not limited to scholarly publications establishing expertise in the area.
