The course looks at such issues as the relationships between community organizing and community development and the role of social capital in community economic development. Models of community development that involve government programs such as social housing and community health centres are considered as are market-based approaches involving micro-lending, co-operatives and social enterprises.Estimated course enrolment: 25 studentsEstimated TA support: NoClass schedule (Lectures): Monday 17:00 – 20:00Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2025 to April 30, 2025Salary:Pay for half course, vacation pay included:Sessional Lecturer I: $9,182.42
Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $9,641.55
Sessional Lecturer II: $9,826.96
Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,025.84
Sessional Lecturer III: $10,060.93
