The course should focus on case studies and implementation in the context of the Greater Toronto Area.Class Schedule:Thursday 9:00-12:00Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024Estimate of the course enrolment: Approximately 16 students per sectionSalary: Sessional Lecturer I – $9,457.90; Sessional Lecturer I Long Term – $9,930.79; Sessional Lecturer II – $10,121.77; Sessional Lecturer II Long Term – $10,326.62; Sessional Lecturer III – $10,362.76; Sessional Lecturer III Long Term – $10,570.02 (inclusive of vacation pay)Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum Qualifications: M.Arch with a MUD or MSc in Urban Planning degree and professional urban design experience preferred. We are seeking applicants with a proven record of teaching urban design and public art content at the graduate-level and knowledge of contemporary urban design and public art practice – in local, national and international contexts.Preferred Qualifications: Experience and an understanding of both urban design and the Toronto/GTAH policy contexts in particular regarding housing.Description of Duties: Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations, and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions, and student contact hours.Application Submission: To apply, please complete the Daniels and submit a curriculum vitae to the Daniels Selection Committee at .Closing Date: 06/26/2024, 11:59PM EDT
