Topics include hedging of guarantees embedded in equity-linked insurance and annuity products, asset-liability management, determination of regulatory and economic capitals, insurance securitization (Life & P/C), longevity bonds and derivatives, reinsurance, catastrophe bonds and derivatives.Estimated Course Enrolment33Estimated TA Support25 hours. Currently active in the finance industry with at least five years’ experience in risk management. Prior experience teaching at the university level. Prior experience teaching STA2540 or a similar course is an asset.Description of duties: Preparation and delivery of lectures in this course. Supervision of teaching assistant(s) assigned to this course and paid by university.
