US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. We are seeking a Systems Administrator that can work independently – please read below!

Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with local customer develop, maintain, support and build upon our internal SharePoint environment to facilitate information sharing and knowledge management requirements.

  • Assist customers with developing workflows that effectively utilize US BICES services to meet their mission requirements.

  • Train customers, US BICES Trainers and Knowledge Management staff on SharePoint site utilization and information flows.

  • Monitor SharePoint site utilization and security. Work with US BICES SharePoint, Systems and Cyber Security Engineers to maintain site availability and security.

  • Work with US BICES SharePoint Site Administrators and Knowledge Managers to ensure US BICES sites are developed using a common format and appearance.

  • Maintain site documentation and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for site use and maintenance.

  • Part of a team with personnel located throughout Southwest Asia (SWA). Will be required to support customers at local and remote sites.

  • Interact with users and US BICES Engineering Team to evaluate vendor products.

  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

  • As required develop and implement testing strategies and document results.

  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in SharePoint site administration and support.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software.

  • May require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.

  • Creation and customization of SharePoint workflows in SharePoint Designer.

  • Experience in building and supporting all aspects of SharePoint including sites; site collections; master pages; templates; web parts; content types & policies; lists; libraries; workflows; authentication; security groups; permissions; and customizations.

  • Experience using SharePoint for document management and website publishing

  • Will occasionally be required to perform networks, DTS, information assurance and logistics duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in analysis; design; hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications

  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a visa based on the country requirements.

  • Experience supporting multinational customers.

  • Experience operating in deployed environments.

  • Must be able to pass requirements necessary to be medically cleared by the USCENTCOM Clinic or a third-party vendor, within a reasonable time period, as determined at the sole discretion of the customer. This includes meeting medical, dental, and psychological requirements, being able to obtain all required immunizations.

  • This position is deemed a DoD IA Workforce, IAT Level II position and requires 8570/8140 compliance. A candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Baseline – Security+ ce, CySA+, or CCNA. Higher certifications such as CASP+ ce, CCNP, or CISSP are acceptable.

  • Computing environment requirement – a valid Microsoft certification such as MCSA / MCSE for Microsoft Server 2016.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Must possess a valid US passport and US driver’s license.

  • Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting multinational customers preferred.

  • Experience operating in deployed environments preferred.

  • Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.

  • The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.

  • The selected candidate must be willing to travel throughout the Middle East. Travel may be via commercial or military transport. Modes of transport include, but are not limited to car, truck, armored vehicle, fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

  • This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide. Candidate will be expected to live alongside deployed military personnel in military provided accommodation. Housing options include but are not limited to; open bay tents and multi-personnel containerized housing units “CHUs”.

  • This position is supporting fluid military missions. You may be required to relocate (temporarily or permanently) to different operating locations within the CENTCOM AOR.

The likely salary range for this position is $88,275 – $112,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
