Job Title: Materials And Logistics Operative

Job Description

As a Materials and Logistics Operative, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and shipping materials such as nuts, bolts, and sheet metal. You will move materials to work cells and stage them for use, assist in the workshop with tasks such as sweeping and shaving edges of steel, and perform basic quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and ship materials including nuts, bolts, and sheet metal.

• Move materials to work cells and stage them for use.

• Assist in the workshop with tasks such as sweeping and shaving edges of steel.

• Perform basic quality assurance.

• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, and pump trucks.

• Use tape measures, hand tools, and power tools for assembly and inventory tasks.

• Read blueprints for inspection purposes.

• Navigate online order entry systems and manage inventory.

• Maintain a clean working environment.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with forklift, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, and pump trucks.

• Ability to lift 75 lbs.

• Computer literacy.

• Proficiency with tape measures, hand tools, and power tools.

• Experience in assembly, inventory management, machine operation, and blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in entry-level manufacturing roles such as machine operators, CNC operators, and crane operators.

Work Environment

You will work in a well-lit, temperature-controlled area with an assembly and production portion of the facility. The candidate will work in both departments. The shift is straight days, with hours between 6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 7:30 AM-4:00 PM based on candidate preference.
