There is an opportunity for this to be a full-time teleworking position. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your role

As a member of the Digital Media team at Radio-Canada, you will actively contribute to the monitoring of the main CMS ecosystem of Radio-Canada and coordinate the centralized deployment of its various developments.

The CMS supports major brands such as Radio-Canada INFO, Olympic Games coverage, Ohdio, RCI, and Mordu. You will actively participate in our development initiatives by advancing our current platforms. You will be tasked with evolving monitoring (logging) practices and continuous deployment.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage and perform all deployments operations.

  • Improve deployment practices to achieve continuous delivery (CD) objectives.

  • Maintain and improve log reports for the Radio-Canada CMS ecosystem.

  • Participate in code reviews with the aim of monitoring logging practices and server-side code efficiency.

  • Identify issues and prevent the waste of cloud resources.

  • Re-engineer software functionalities to optimize resource usage, whether in API code or databases.

  • Document processes and influence developers on best practices.

  • Present collected data to the relevant teams.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

Technologies

  • Mastery of Git and CI/CD principles

  • Mastery of Kibana

  • Advanced knowledge of Monorepo concepts and Yarn Workspaces

  • Advanced knowledge of Cloud hosting technologies

  • Advanced knowledge of Azure Functions

  • Advanced knowledge of NodeJS (TypeScript)

  • Advanced knowledge of .NET Core

  • Advanced knowledge of MongoDB and ElasticSearch

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure DevOps suite

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes

  • Knowledge of statistical data visualization tools (e.g., Google Looker Studio)

Skills and experience

  • Ability to visualize data clearly and simply

  • High level of rigor and meticulousness

  • Comfortable presenting report findings to management

  • Comfortable working in incident management mode

  • Autonomy, curiosity, proactivity, resourcefulness, and team spirit

  • 3 to 5 years of backend development experience or University degree

  • Solid command of French; working knowledge of English, spoken and written, an asset
