The team
- The marketing communications team successfully delivers an increasing number of programmes
and campaigns for funders, clients and businesses. - Our aim is to deliver highly effective campaigns and return on investment with an
increasingly agile and flexible approach. - As a team, we want to identify and embrace new ideas, develop processes and ways of working
that support the team, incorporate greater evaluation of our work, and share our insight.
The role
- Working closely with the head of content and the wider content team, this role delivers our
organic social media strategy. The social media manager leads on increasing cross-channel
awareness and engagement to meet our KPIs with support from our social media executive.

What you’ll do
- Use attention grabbing, creative storytelling to get consumers and businesses to save
energy and lower their carbon emissions to help the UK reach net zero. - Work with multiple internal stakeholders to manage the social media forward planner and
ensure all content is appropriately optimised for our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram
and YouTube accounts. - Work reactively with our press and policy teams to communicate via social our expert
position on breaking news and government announcements.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrable strong experience of delivering a social media strategy and improving
awareness and engagement. - Previous line management experience and delegation in a social media role.
- Superb organisational skills with demonstrable experience of working with multiple internal
stakeholders to juggle a busy multi-channel social media request process and calendar.
This is a fixed term, 12-month maternity cover, with an expected start date of 18 November 2024
and end date of 14 November 2025. Our standard weekly hours are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.
As standard we offer all contracts as blended (home and office-based) working.
